Picture the scene….

You´re on a beach and its like a dream, EDM is everywhere as you get lost in the sounds and shapes forming around you until the sun starts to rise.

Flashback to the 8th and 9th of August, Dreambeach was upon us again and boy, did it bring IT….

80,000 people danced their way around the beach in Villaricos over the two-day event, that was 20,000 more than last year might I add.

The energy was buzzing along with an electric atmosphere that never faded until well after the festival closed for another year.

There was something for everyone as they had an array of acts spread out over 4 stages. The Brugal Stage was where I had my sights set for the evening’s entertainment.

Dub Elements, for me…were the act of the night, they bought so much energy and their mixes were on point. Krewella, bought so much attention to the festival but their set didn’t really have any flow to it.It would build momentum, then all of a sudden stop or slow down and before I knew it,  An acoustic track was planted in the mix and it didn’t work at all.

Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lyon was another shock of the night. Dont get me wrong, Snoop has still got it but come on, he isn’t in the EDM genre.

He blew me away as he blasted hit after hit out but it was like a completely different event.

It was quite literally `The Snoop Show´

I’m intrigued to see what they have up their sleeves for next year because it will take a lot to beat this year´s line up that also included the legendary Carl Cox, Knife Party and Armin Van Buuren.

All that’s left to say is…..

I applaud you

I shall wait with bated breath…
