Phoenix Music Online

Imagine there’s a soundtrack to your life and who it would feature……well, that’s exactly what you get with Rock Band, Helter Skelter, a reproduction of all the music you grew up with, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Although might I add, I didn’t even exist through this era haha. But I do appreciate the great music that was before my time and how it paved the way for the generations that came after.
Helter Skelter made the long journey from Madrid to perform at Pachamama Rock on Saturday night and bought a big group of their fans along for the ride. The atmosphere was electric, as temperatures rose in anticipation for the band to take to the stage. Juancho and Oscar lead the way on guitars, while Borja was giving it all on bass. They all complimented each other effortlessly as their sound fused together. Negro on vocals certainly knows how to work a crowd, He is the master! His energy poured out into every song as he executed the vocals left, right and centre. Drumming from Alf held all the aspects to together perfectly. One of the highlights, was when the bongos came out which definitely bought an extra layer of goodness to the already perfected outfit.
The crowd were wild throughout, as the band nailed hit after hit – from Sympathy For The Devil, Start It Up, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Brown Sugar to The Beatles ‘Sgt Pepper’ and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Free Bird’. The crowd called out for more, but it was time to say goodbye. Helter Skelter gives one hell of a ride!
